On behalf of the organizing team, we would like to invite you to take part in INDUSCON 2025. This year, the IEEE/IAS International Conference on Industry Applications is organized by the Sao Paulo State University (UNESP) and it will take place at Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo (FATEC-SP) in São Sebastião-SP in a hybrid format (virtual and in-person), from October 14-17th, 2025. We are happy to announce that the INDUSCON 2025 website is now live and can be reached at https://induscon.org/.
The main theme of this edition is “Towards an innovation ecosystem based on Industry and Academy partnership”. While academia offers the scientific foundation and prepares skilled professionals, industry faces technological challenges and raises real-world research demands. Thus, the collaboration between industry and academia is crucial. However, some challenges persist: (i) industry and academia often have different objectives, work rhythms, and languages; (ii) the low number of PhD’s employed by the industry and different development cycles create a mismatch between academic activities and production demands; (iii) ways to finance high-risk projects that can result in disruptive innovations.
We would like to make INDUSCON 2025 a friendly space to promote networking between industry directors and researchers, hoping that this will be the starting point for new and fruitful projects and partnerships.
